What is the Little Bolton Townscape Heritage Initiative?

The Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) is a Heritage Lottery Fund grant-giving programme for the repair and regeneration of the historic environment.

The main aim of the THI is to protect the special character of Little Bolton and make it more attractive for businesses, residents and visitors. This will be achieved through grants for improvements to historic buildings combined with investment in high quality public realm works.

The THI in Little Bolton is funded jointly by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Bolton Council. It will be open for grant applications for four years from 2007.

If you own or lease a historic property within the THI area, you will be eligible to apply for grant funding.

Please bear in mind that the funding is limited and the sooner you apply for a grant the more likely you are to be successful.
